Proliant nas software properly
Hi, I'm new to the community and with freenas, I'm trying to install it on a new HP Proliant DL Gen10 server, but the installer does not recognize the server's hard drives. I have 8, 1Gb disk and I have tried all disk array combinations and nothing. I have tried Ubuntu, Debian and Windows and in all of them I recognize the disk, so the disk array does not have problems, but with freenas it does not recognize the disk. If my suspicions are true, what options are left for me to install freenas on this server?

With all that said, this server will run what you need it to very well; if setup properly. I don't know the Proliant specifically, but make sure you're using Enterprise class drives and make sure you have enough IOPS built in to your estimates.
Also do note that although your server may support a lot more drives than that originally purchased, the PSU supplied may not have enough power To continue this discussion, please ask a new question.
