This beautifully hand carved cabinet comes with two knights who are like the guards to the gate of this castle-like cabinet.

The doors to this practical cabinet are shaped like the top section of large Gothic cathedral windows and the deep carvings are an absolute joy to look at.

The hand forged wrought iron hinges as well as the 'lock plates' are perfect for these doors and both doors come with a working lock and the original Gothic key.

This piece is not signed, but some years back we owned and sold a very similar design cabinet and that specimen was marked "N. The history of that Dutch cabinet maker from Haarlem, Netherlands goes back to the 18th century. This Gothic Style cabinet dates from the s, the open design of the base makes it extra stylish and the perfect condition inside of this cabinet comes with two tiers. This practical and great looking Gothic cabinet is as strong and stable as the day it was handcrafted, it is completely original and all handcrafted out of solid oak mostly tiger oak.
