Asus p5n7a-vm windows 7 drivers
Executioner said:. Click to expand I had no luck finding ANY drivers for this board. Granted, the board is 10 years old, but you would think that Asus would have archived them. If I can get a hold of a windows 7 driver, I'll try it.
Where did you look? Joined Oct 7, Messages 35, Thanks for the link but the site is currently down. I'll let you know tomorrow morning. I never knew that you could use windows 7 drivers on I thought it has to be at least version 8. NattyKathy [H]ard Gawd. Joined Jan 20, Messages 1, Well the drivers did not work from windows 7. I tried those instructions and drivers but they did not work, so I proceeded with the second search.
I then downloaded the 1. I ran the installer which worked and installed a bunch of stuff under system devices. So "Fernando" did some really nice work and very clear instructions especially on the certificate issue. If he was here where I live, I would buy him a few beers.
So in the end, the missing driver was important after I saw all the stuff it installed. So with that, I'd like to thank everyone in this thread that lent a helping hand in getting this desktop working under windows I hope this thread will help someone else if they are struggling with nForce drivers working under windows The missing driver was for the co-processor. I don't like seeing components in device manager with missing drivers as I'm in the process of selling this old desktop system that my brother gave me.

In a word, no. G45 has decent digital outputs, proper movie playback and scores 1, in 3DMark06 so the time is clearly ripe for a new Nvidia chipset, and that time is now. Nvidia has launched a pair of chipsets that are identical apart from the speed of the graphics core. The graphics core supports DirectX Graphics memory is shared system memory so the speed is likely to be MHz as we doubt there will be many DDR3 versions of this chip on the market. Nvidia tells us that the M graphics core has slightly lower performance than a dedicated GeForce GS graphics card.
There are 20 lanes of PCI Express 2. There are three USB headers across the foot of the board along with some unused parts that have been marked for a TPM connector and a Firewire chip.
The chipset is passively cooled with a heatsink that uses a loop of heatpipe that appears to be included for cosmetic effect as it has no obvious function. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. Thread starter lubej Start date Nov 20, Hello As you maybe know this is latest asus board with Nvidia geforce chipset. This chipset is in my opinion at this moment very good option for HTPC, it offers smooth 24p playback, lpcm over hdmi I'm looking for owners of this MB.
Many users on avsforum. Do you maybe use this MB, do you have the same problems? I would like to know if only limited number of people have this issues or are all this MB defect. So owners, please reply. Thank you. Kind regards. Hairlocks Standard Member. I bough one about a week ago. I currently have 2 problems with it, one serious and one I can live with. My serious one is that is suddenly reboots with no warning or error messages written anyway, currently using Windows XP and Q I have speed fan writting a log file, and the cpu temp was dropping the last time it did it.
The one i can live with is it does reboot properly, not even getting to the bios or the Express gate I have installed. I then have to power off the power supply for a short while before it will reboot properly, it did this during the windows install. Anyone else have the random reboot problem? I get no event logs or blue screen I have stopped the windows auto reboot on a blue screen Hairlocks.
As usual, the initial euphoria has been taken over by reports of a few problems : the main ones being high temperatures in the GPU, boot problems, and resuming from sleep. This does not sound promising! I'm sure it's just a few teeth problems that some BIOS update hopefully should update. But you would have thought that this would have previously been picked up at the development stage.
Yes, this is the thread I was talking about. Apparently this boards have big problems. I thought that maybe only US users have this problems. But now I see that also EU user are having the same problem. I was planning to buy this MB, but after reading all this posts I think I will have to look for other board I want to have smooth 24p playback and lpcm over hdmi. TiVoMad Active Member. Hi, I've been active in the thread on the US forum but I will share experience here as well.
My board has a Conroe dual core in it at 2. I am running Vista Ultimate 32 bit. The Graphics driver is the current Beta. When I say standby, I mean S3 sleep I have disabled hybrid sleep. If I try to bring it out of sleep with the power button, it comes back on but no video or activity.
I have to reset at that point. If I try to bring it back with the remote, the system comes on momentarily and then the power shuts off. The video starts to play and freezes and there is no sound.
Removing and re-installing PowerDVD did not fix this problem. I thought this had fixed the audio sync issue as all the problem films were then synced up but after time, the audio always drifts out. If you do it in Powerdvd, any settings that are not default result in major aliasing problems. I've seen this before with nVidia GPUs. You can change the setting in the nVidia control panel without the aliasing problems but then, the applications can't change it.
I could actually live with all of this for now if I could get the audio to sync up. I am going to rebuild tonight and try the non-beta video drivers. I will also see if the analog output is staying in sync. I will also hold off putting the Hauppage cards in.
The standby thing must be driver related as people over the pond have it working. Very much 'Work In Progress' but I will keep at it and let you know of the outcome.
