Hi, I'm trying to set up my router. I have it reset. I switched to a linksys and have had no problems. I've also had problems with Dlink wireless cards difficult to install I can't speak for everyone else out there, but I'll stay away from Dlink products in the future. Caveat emptor - If you're looking for something with full WPA support, look elsewhere. I have no problems with my Cisco access point, but having bought this to do some testing, I find that it doesn't make any attempt to speak with the radius server.

The tech support have not answered my query in 3 months regarding this - useless. I purchased it to set up a home wireless for when my daughter brings her destop home from college. Both our computers have D-link wirless cards plus I have added a D-Link DWL range extender so I could use my laptop anywhere in the house or yard Router is in the basement.

While I don't understand all the different types of encryption for security, I do have my network secured. Initially it was only WEP 64 bit, but I've moved up to the bit encryption. All of this was easlily accomplished both on the router and the range extender.

One of the reasons I bought the router originally was 1. Overall, a good easy to use, even for a beginner, product. I like the router, easy to use. I stayed away from WEP because I install many operating systems and it is a pain to set up wep everytime. I have used this router for 3 years with no problems. The only times i have had to reboot is when I am having trouble with my cable modem.

Hi, I'm having a problem to configure this router, so it will allow to download from torrents. I know that the incoming port is but failed to find out how to configure the router. Thanks a lot for help!!!

I will say that this product is excellent, though I feel some signal issues, but i think a good antenna should fix that. Overall its easy to configure. D-Link is good. To counterpoint some of the early comments. Linksys may have a few products that work, but you are making a mistake to buy "new" or "cutting edge" products from them. Their customer service stinks, and they release defective products without proper testing or support. I've not heard similar complaints concerning D-link.

Actually, neither will WEP. Hello i have a problem with the Dlink DI Wireless router It is a good product, but after a random period of time , the router goes in someking of stanby mode or I don't know.. It just disconnects from my broadband internet protocol and I lose my conection The interesting thing is that it doesen't disconnect when there is no traffic, exactley the opposite, when I'm playing or when downloading or just chatting If you want to host your own Valheim servers you'll need to forward some ports for it in your router.

Setup a port forward for Battlefield V to make sure that you have the best ping times and the least amount of lag.

Sometimes Ghost Recon needs a little help talking on your network. Follow our port forward guide to fix it.

System that I am using is HP laptop. If your connection is any of these than just configure the router accordingly and you should not have any issue. Yes it is PPoE and I did configure this on the wireless router, but no use. Some providers try to tie the DSL modem to the computer.

The modem will respond to the computer that is used to set it up and no other unlesss it is reset. This usually applies to cable ISPs' but may be relevent to your situation. Connect to the router from your desktop. Find the Clone MAC settting. Some routers will read the MAC address themselves some you have to enter manually. Hi There, If i find he clone mac setting which i did not then what do i do with it?

I guess i sound a little dumb on this one. However sorry to say but your answer did confuse me a bit. They are sort of like street addresses for the network interface. The IP address can change everytime the machine connects to the network but the MAC address stays the same it can be changed, but was not originally intended to be so.

The config on the DSL router is set to only allow 2 devices to obtain an IP address from your provider. I don't think you can actually define a single IP address range,2 is the minimum. This makes me think they are definitely limiting what you connect to the line.
